Ben D. Johnson Educational Center

The Ben D. Johnson Educational Center is a non profit (501c3). The Ben D Johnson Educational Center is hub of small businesses and services that will build community, create jobs, develop small business and offer services such as workforce development, leadership training, and access to healthy food - and healthier and more fulfilling lives.

The social enterprise structure and food service-based programming at the Ben D. Johnson Educational Center will be based on several success models including Liberty's Kitchen in New Orleans. With its ready to go café and large commercial kitchen, programming will include – but will certainly not be limited to - a youth workforce development program, after school programming, community kitchen, and community garden. This programming will be embedded in a number of enterprises including the Legacy Café, catering service, meal subscription service as well as a kitchen incubator.
