About Us

Children's Fairyland is a renowned, regional story book park dedicated to stimulating a child's imagination, creativity and desire to learn through fairytales, sets, play-acting, animals and related programs. Founded in 1950, Fairyland features rides, puppet shows, children's theater performances, farm animals, arts and crafts, talking storybooks and thirty handpainted storybook sets in 10 acres of landscaped gardens.

Fairyland's donor-supported programs include: free field trips for schools and agencies serving low-income children and families; Horticulture Therapy for autistic children; Junior Animal Caretaker Progam for children who have experienced trauma and Fairyland Friends that helps school-aged children develop social skills. In 2014 Fairyland hosted the local launch of the Clinton Foundation's national "Talking Is Teaching: Talk Read Sing" campaign, introducing hundreds of parents to fun ways they can help prepare their babies for success in school and beyond.

Fairyland's fee-based programs include Summer Day Camp, Family Sleep Overs, Field Trips, Catered Birthday Parties, Family Memberships and special holiday events.
