Payomet Performing Arts Center

We are a volunteer driven, non-profit performing arts organization committed to gradual and sustainable growth in order to remain true to our core mission: to produce exciting professional live music, theatre, circus arts and humanities events rooted in strong social values.

Entering its 23rd year, Payomet is located in North Truro, Mass, on the outer shores of Cape Cod and in partnership with the National Park Service. Our main venue is a sophisticated fabric tent that accommodates an audience of 850 to 900, with seating on risers for bigger shows and table seating for smaller 300-400 capacity shows.

We promote a highly diverse music lineup that features national and emerging talent. The lion’s share of our programming is music with growing portions of circus, theatre and humanities. We have a separate structure for circus performances by our own circus team who also run a circus arts camp for children. In response to COVID, in the summer of 2020 we built an outdoor stage and that gave us further presenting options. We are a successful non-profit with a small collaborative staff and a dynamic board of directors.
