The Little Orchestra Society

L.O.S. is proud to be “An Orchestra for All New Yorkers!” Now in its 72^nd Season, the Orchestra is known for putting music and creativity directly into the hands of young people; our music education programs in NYC public schools empower students to compose their own new music. Community engagement activities across the City connect L.O.S. with social service organizations and other partner sites to make high quality music experiences available in communities with little access to this type of programming. The Little Orchestra Society’s innovative concerts (including L.O.S. KIDS) serve as the linchpin, connecting schools, community spaces, and the public to inspiring repertoire in the concert hall—often introducing young people to their first experiences with the orchestra and captivating live performances.
