An 8 1/2 acre non profit zoo located in the heart of Staten Island, the Staten Island Zoo houses a wide collection of exotic and domestic animals from around the world. Some highlights include: Our famous Herpetarium houses the zoo's collection of reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates and the zoo's Fear Zone; The Children's Center is the home to the zoo's collection of domestic animals and livestock and allows visitors an up close and personal encounter with some live animals. Also, visit the zoo's Tropical Rainforest, African Savannah, and Aquarium.
