  • Mission

Our Mission is to encourage the creation and presentation of original visual arts, to support the cultural life of the community, and to encourage all artists to fulfill their potential.

    About Us

    Established April, 1986

The Sacramento Fine Arts Center (SFAC) is a California nonprofit corporation, authorized under IRC sections 501C3, whose mission is to contribute to the cultural life of our community. Established jointly by independent art clubs, it is dedicated to the creation and presentation of the visual arts. The Center is entirely self-supporting and operated by volunteers. Its operation is made possible by memberships, contributions, sales and rentals of art work, and numerous community fund-raisers.

As an artist or art lover, you will meet and make friends with many other artists who have similar goals and will have the opportunity to expand your artistic talents. Volunteer opportunities will increase your knowledge about art and make you part of a network of hundreds of artists. Art Gallery docent positions are available. There are numerous opportunities to work as a team organizing exhibits and fundraising events.
