Social transformation for the marginalized Profile
Greetings in the mighty Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ the hope of us all with Love from Uganda - East Africa! My Name is Dr paul Bamu . Am the founder and Director of STTM Non governmental , interdenominational organization with a focus to help Children orphaned as a result of AIDS access education and Women Widowed as a result of HIV/AIDS get Skills that help them become self reliant.
Among other things, this organization does - - Rural psycho social support - HIV/AIDS awareness programs deep in the villages where people never get any outsiders reaching them! - A Mobile Clinic operating under the HIV/AIDS program! – social support in different villages on different days.... in uganda is a country where almost every body is affected [is infected /has lost a relative , friends or spouse to HIV/AIDS]The dependence ratio is too high and especially the aged women are shouldering the burden .The results are poor health, lack of clothing , poor nutrition, high school dropout levels and to the worst ,high level of transmission of HIV/AIDS of about 20%.
As regards the above we can not sit back and look on we are doing what we can to fight the scourge but the resource within our reach are insufficient .My call then, is that we team up to save this AIDS generation. God bless you (1 Timothy4;9-16).
STTM Uganda is a pro-life giving ministry whose mission and mandate is to uphold the sanctity of human life and endeavoring to meet the physical, spiritual and emotional needs to the HIV/AIDS orphans and widows facing welfare problems.
Our aim is to reach all kinds and depths of HIV/AIDS afflicted people in both rural and urban communities through various means especially through holistic approach.
We are a fully registered Not for Profit Organization and derive our support from the invaluable services of volunteers and other Christian resources helping us to get to horizons and societies that can not be easily reached by the average human.
We have many projects and visions you should know about and so we encourage you to navigate through pages and we pray you can find how to bless a life today.
Social transformation for the marginalized, here and after abbreviated as STTM, is an independent non-profit indigenous community-based charitable organization. The organization was started in 2009 by dr. paul bamu, to try and stop the tide of orphaning in particular, and the spread of HIV/AIDS in general, these two factors having been the most frequent situations the community members would turn up for counseling and psychosocial about.
Soon the intended boundaries were found to be outstripped by demand, as the need for services was growing at a speed so terrific, in an area so wide than the resources, physical, financial and human, could handle. In light of this, and in expectation of the future, owing partly to unending spread of AIDS and partly to increasing abject poverty, Sttm was upgraded to a non- governmental organization from a small community based organization. So from 2001, STTM is a fully fledged independent organization with headquarters at KIWENDA, 25 kilometres from KAMPALA, CAPITAL CITY, we have a lot of field work in near eastern Uganda, about two hours away from Entebbe airport the only air port.
