The Taft Foundation

  • About Us

The Taft Foundation was established in 2007 by Donald Taft, a businessman and philanthropic leader in Broward County, Florida. The Foundation continues Don Taft’s legacy by enhancing the quality of life for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as children with serious medical conditions. Areas of focus include supporting transition-aged youth, increasing employment opportunities, and fostering meaningful community engagement, such as through the arts. The Foundation strives toward significant and measurable progress by using a creative, strategic, and disciplined grantmaking approach to invest in high-quality nonprofit organizations, primarily in New York City metropolitan areas and southeastern Florida.
