Women's Entrepreneurial Opportunity Project, Inc. (WEOP)
The Women’s Entrepreneurial Opportunity Project, Inc, established in 1999, is a nonprofit, community based organization dedicated to the mission of providing programs and services for low to middle income minority women. The mission is supported by a dedicated Board of Directors, staff members, interns, professional volunteers and strategic community partnerships. Programs and services develop the talents of aspiring entrepreneurs; helps women expand their career options and provides services to support the expansion of women owned small businesses. Our core value of helping women achieve economic sustainability bears compounding benefits for families, communities and the economy at large.
Over the last twelve years we have successfully provided technology and business training services to hundreds of clients annually. Our services included but are not limited to workforce development programs, computer training, technology workshops, career and entrepreneurship development. We also utilize online platforms to include a Blog page, and a social membership website building a network of professional women. We provide an educational annual women’s forum during women’s history month and disseminate an online newsletter to thousands of women. We have increased out outreach through online resources and educational workshops. We have been instrumental helping clients secure employment opportunities; start and expand their businesses and have access to a professional network of women.
