Our Mission
Our mission is to plant seeds of emotional wellness, educational growth and pathways to financial freedom, one adult survivor of commercial sexual exploitation and trafficking at a time.
As a survivor-led, LGBTQ+ led and BIPOC-led organization, we aim to stand apart by creating a specific model of support, empowerment and understanding for survivors within BIPOC and LGBTQ+ survivor communitie
Our Vision
YAMT envisions creating a world where mental health, education, and financial stability are no longer barriers to success for survivors.
We envision a world where survivors are seen, heard and understood in their own lives, communities and through a wider lens of society’s views.
Our Guiding Principals
Emotional Wellbeing
We believe that every survivor should have the right to well trained, trauma-informed mental health professionals that will guide them towards building a foundation of emotional growth for the future, rather than limiting their potential due to the past.
Educational Empowerment
We believe that every survivor should have the right to educational empowerment and growth that focuses on their own unique desires and skills. Education should not be limited to only those who can afford it.
Financial Wellness
We believe that every survivor should have the right to leading their own financial lives. Survivors deserve a space where they are given buy-in to their own financial growth and afforded opportunities in the workforce that go beyond survivorship.
