  • About Us

Communities for Restorative Justice (C4RJ) is a community-police partnership that offers restorative justice to those affected by crime. Its “circle” process values each person. C4RJ receives police referrals and seeks to include those affected by crime in the decision-making, including victims, offenders, loved ones, supporters, community members, and law enforcement officials.

Restorative justice brings together people impacted by a crime in a healing process that improves the outcomes of those who have been harmed as well as those who’ve done harm. Restorative justice rests upon the principle that crime is a violation of people and relationships; that crime creates harm, needs, and obligations; and that those most affected should be meaningfully included and empowered in any resolution.
