    Amigos de las Americas is an international, volunteer-based, not-for-profit organization that builds partnerships to empower young leader and advances community development; plus strengthens multi-cultural understanding in the Americas.

    About Us

    After completing an extensive training program, high school and college-aged young people are assigned to an AMIGOS project in Latin America. Volunteers work with local professionals and organizationas to reinforce existing programs. They live in rural or semi-urban communities and are supervised by more experienced volunteers (AMIGOS Program Staff) and officials of the partner agencies.
