    About Us

San Diegans for Gun Violence Prevention is a local all-volunteer organization. We work in a coalition with other like-minded organizations which include Brady and Moms Demand Action at the national level and local community-based, civic and faith-based organizations. We advocate for gun-safety legislation at the local, state and national level. We educate the public on how they can take action to end the epidemic of gun violence and we work with community-based organizations in areas of San Diego most impacted by gun violence. We have been instrumental in passing ghost gun and safe storage ordinances in San Diego, we have developed a toolkit for schools (see website) and name gun-violence prevention candidates (see website). Our volunteers work with legislators, set up resource tables at various events in San Diego and act as advisors to the youth-led group Team Enough,
