Mission
Our mission at Project It Takes A Village, Inc. (PiTaV,Inc) is to create programs and activities that promote the emotional and physical well-being of youth and their families who are vulnerable because of structural inequalities. Because we believe that change is generational, we partner with like-minded groups to impact lives positively, stand as a visible commitment to equipping youth with the resources required to be effective citizens of the world.
About Us
We are a team of scholars, community leaders, activists, and volunteers dedicated to supporting students currently attending primary and high school in Glen View, Harare, Zimbabwe who have experienced the death of their parents and the community in which they live. The students we partner with are fortunate to be in the physical care of their extended family members, mostly grandparents. Despite their hardships, our students dare to dream still, and we are privileged to be a part of their journey.
We also bridge the cultural divide by providing events which serve to connect PiTaV, Inc. global supporters with Zimbabwe and with each other.
