The Marshall Project

  • About Us

The Marshall Project is a nonprofit, nonpartisan news organization covering America’s criminal justice system. The Marshall Project’s mission is guided by two principles: 1) a pressing national need for high-quality journalism about the American criminal justice system and 2) capitalizing on the growing awareness that our system of crime and punishment is in desperate need of reform and elevating the national conversation about criminal justice.
