Fondation Pierre Elliott Trudeau

La Fondation Pierre Elliott Trudeau est un organisme de bienfaisance, indépendant et sans affiliation politique, créé en 2001 par la famille, les amis et les collègues de l’ancien premier ministre pour lui rendre hommage. En 2002, le gouvernement du Canada a accordé un fonds de dotation de 125 millions de dollars à la Fondation. Grâce à ses programmes de bourses d’études doctorales, de prix de recherche, de mentorat et d’interaction publique, la Fondation soutient des esprits libres et curieux qui se distinguent en s’intéressant aux questions essentielles de notre société. À ce jour, la Fondation a récompensé des centaines de personnes pour souligner leurs réalisations, au Canada comme à l’étranger.

An independent and non-partisan Canadian charity, the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation was established in 2001 as a living memorial to the former Prime Minister by his family, friends, and colleagues. In 2002, the Government of Canada endowed the Foundation with a donation of $125 million. The Foundation supports outstanding creative thinkers who make meaningful contributions to critical social issues through scholarships, fellowships, mentorships and public interaction events. To date, the Foundation has granted hundreds of major awards to top researchers and highly accomplished individuals, in Canada and abroad.
