  • About Us

    Our Mission:

Founded in 2017, The Flow is the only nonprofit fighting period poverty/stigma among people in the US through the use of menstrual cups. Our goal is to make menstrual cups - the healthiest, greenest, most affordable way to manage periods - and cup information accessible to all. We are on a singular, innovative mission: to ensure people in the US - starting in LA County - who have the greatest need for menstrual cups have information about them, and access to them for free

    Who We Serve:

Our team has partnered with over 65 organizations, reaching thousands of individuals by providing culturally-specific and multilingual menstrual cup education, and donating over 12,000 cups to under-resourced people, including many first-generation Americans, recent immigrants with a large portion of those we serve being Spanish-speaking. 90% of our work is in LA County, where we are located.

    What We Believe:

We believe that women/girls/others should not have their scholarship, livelihood, dignity or potential compromised because of a normal biological function without which none of us would be here! Our work is at the intersection of social & racial justice, gender & health equity, and environmental sustainability.
