    Bay Area Council on Drugs & Alcohol (BACODA) serves Matagorda, Brazoria, Galveston, Southern Ft Bend and Southeast Harris Counties in Texas [along the Gulf of Mexico]. Started in 1974 by concerned citizens, BACODA continues today serving individuals, families and communities with prevention/intervention for substance abuse/addiction. BACODA provides prevention services in school districts and provides outreach, free screenings and assessments and counseling. BACODA is working with communities through BACODA Coalitions to end adolescent alcohol, tobacco and illegal drug usage. BACODA is truly the light at the end of the tunnel for those seeking help for themselves or for a friend or loved one.
