It fulfills its mission by awarding grants for public humanities projects, providing programs and services through its resource center, conducting public humanities projects of statewide importance, initiating collaborative efforts to broaden and strengthen the base for the humanities in Michigan, raising governmental and private support for the humanities and providing the humanities with leadership and a public voice in Michigan.
