Northwest Kidney Kids

Our Mission: We bring joy, hope, and connection to children with kidney disease and their families through camps, supportive programs, and lifelong learning.

Our Vision: To empower every child with kidney disease and their families to manage their health, embrace their future, and grow in a caring, supportive community.As an organization, NW Kidney Kids strives to be self-sustaining and is known as a compassionate force, well recognized and respected for operating with integrity. We want to be viewed as having a positive influence in the kidney disease community, both locally and nationally. To do this, we are constantly seeking to improve and expand our programs to make them more relevant and valuable to the needs of more children/families.

In 2006, a group of passionate professionals and parents established Northwest Kidney Kids with the primary goal of maintaining the Kidney Kids Family Camp. This summer program initially brought together 15-17 families to provide mutual support. After successfully establishing Northwest Kidney Kids as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the founders collaborated annually to uphold Family Camp traditions. In the 15 years since its inception, the committed staff, board of directors, and community members of Northwest Kidney Kids have continued to support children and families affected by chronic kidney disease. Our programs have expanded to include two additional annual camps, clinical support initiatives, and numerous resource projects.
