About Us

ADL was founded as the Anti-Defamation League in 1913 to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all. Today, ADL is the largest anti-hate organization in the country. Locally, the Cleveland Regional Office, which serves Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Western Pennsylvania reports instances of bias and hate, supports the victims of discrimination, provides anti-bias education to educators, parents, students and law enforcement officials, advocates for the civil rights of all groups, and promotes public policy as it relates to hate crimes, bullying, and immigration. ADL works to strengthen inter-faith and inter-group relations in our mutual fight against hate. ADL is the first non-governmental team on the ground when a crisis or hate crime occurs, supporting the victims and working closely with local law enforcement officers and leaders to protect marginalized communities. Help us Fight Hate for Good!
