About Us

Austin Free-Net is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been working to bridge the Digital Divide in Austin since 1995. Austin Free-Net is working to spread technology training to the underserved through three major areas: Digital Literacy Program, Accelerate Workforce Development Program, and Specialty Training Programs. Our clients include those affected by the digital divide that need access to computers and guidance on technology use.

Our volunteers and trainers assist clients in setting up an email accounts, searching for a job online, writing a resume, finding a bus route, signing up for benefits, and assist with preparation for job interview, and much more. Our clientele includes low income families, people experiencing homelessness, returning justice involved citizens reentering the workforce, senior citizens, and those with the desire to increase their computer knowledge and skills to achieve their goals within the fast growing tech industry. With our free diverse training's throughout Austin, we equip people with the digital literacy skills needed for a better quality of life.

Our mission is to provide technology training and computer access to the community, fostering skills that enable people to succeed in the digital age. Our vision is a world without digital barriers.
