  • Mission

The Utah Filmmakers™ Association endeavors to bridge the local film community with Utah’s film industry through mentorship, collaboration, and practical application of industry standards with professionalism, integrity, and respect.

    About Us

The Utah Filmmakers (tm) Association has served the filmmaking community and the public with educational programs, lectures, screenings and sponsorships.

These endeavors have included an after-school program at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School, a 4-H filmmaking club in Sanpete County, production workshops taught at North Sanpete High School and Wasatch Academy in Mt. Pleasant, and lectures at Snow College in Ephraim and Weber State University in Ogden.

The organization has hosted public screenings of films by Utah-based filmmakers like Richard Dutcher as well as curated short film screenings at various local venues, and the Section One Expo at the Salt Lake City Public Library.

Utah Filmmakers (tm) facilitates Mentorship and Internship programs, and-when funding permits-makes contributions to local film-related fundraising efforts by other organizations as well as crowdfunding campaigns for Utah-based independent film productions that demonstrate an emphasis on fair compensation for the time and talent of local cast and crew.
