  • About Us

Stop Stalking Us is a non-profit working to combat stalking by building a supportive community for victims and survivors and by offering resources to those who find themselves as a target. By gathering an arsenal of individuals’ stories we aim to promote awareness about the alarming prevalence and seriousness of this crime.

As the line between our personal, physical and digital lives increasingly blurs, the epidemic of stalking continues to intensify, leaving targets feeling unsafe and terrorized both online and in their daily lives. This fear and uncertainty can eat away at one’s sense of self, cause them to isolate, and enter a vicious cycle of self-blame and shame.

Many factors contribute to the problem including weak laws or the enforcement of them, inadequate protections by tech companies, insufficient mental health intervention, and a general lack of understanding of the serious consequences that stalking - and the trauma of living with long-term fear - poses. All of these factors result in the failure to protect victims. Much of the public is unaware that such violations happen regularly, often without recourse, and frequently leave targets unable to get the help they need in a sufficient and affordable way.

This insidious abuse needs to be acknowledged, understood, and eradicated.
