About Us

The Associated Humane Societies was established in 1906; our sole purpose to make better the lives of animals. Our oganization has three branches, Newark, Tinton Falls and Forked River (all in New Jersey). Forked River is also the home of Popcorn Park Zoo, a sanctuary for abused and abandoned exotic, wildlife and farm animals.

We have two fully staffed veterinary clinics at Forked River and our Newark location and Newark also has a mobile spay/neuter van.
