Green Jobs Alliance

OUR MISSION

To serve as a catalyst and coordinator for the educaiton, training, and job placement associated with the development of an energy efficiency and renewable energy industry workforce with a goal of promoting a Clean Energy economy, national energy independence, and environmental protection.

WHAT WE DO

In order to provide green jobs training, our Alliance:

• pursues public and private sector funding for workforce development;
• assists with green jobs placement, job data collection, and labor statistics;
• provides outreach education to high schools, colleges and Labor apprentice schools on green jobs opportunities;
• works with One-Stop Career Centers on job placement;
• partners with the state Veterans Affairs offices and municipalities to train Veterans in offshore wind and marine energy development;
• co-hosts educational seminars, workshops, conferences and briefings on Clean Energy issues and Climate Change
