Lighthouse Mission Ministries

  • Mission

For the glory of God, Lighthouse Mission Ministries desires to minister to needy men, women, and children through the provision of compassionate resources and services in the Name of Jesus Christ.

    About Us

Offering a hand up, not a handout, to end the cycle of homelessness, Lighthouse Mission Ministries is a publicly supported, non-denominational Christian ministry that has been open 24 hours a day since 1923. It is Bellingham and Whatcom County's only "walk-in" crisis homeless shelter for men, women, and women with children. It does everything within its power to assess and address the underlying causes that lead to homelessness for its guests.

Lighthouse Mission Ministries operates 12 homeless shelters; 3 daily meals; a long-term recovery program; a medical and eye clinic; and gives away food, furniture, personal need items and clothing free of charge.
