The work of Vermont Peace Academy (VPA) is implemented through two programs, The Center for Respectful Schools and The Center for Peace Studies.
The Center for Respectful Schools
The Vermont Peace Academy (VPA) works in schools to build a congenial and caring learning community, unlocking an excitement and eagerness to learn. VPA teaches 3rd-12th grade students, teachers, administrators, and parents, fundamental life-long interpersonal skills – nonviolent communication, facilitative team building and cross-cultural appreciation.
The Center for Peace Studies
The Center brings together a network of organizations, professional experts and interested, engaged citizens to implement special events and innovative strategies to enhance grassroots peacemaking nationally and intercultural exchange within Vermont.
