Women's Empowerment Coalition of NYC (WECNYC)
Mission
The Women’s Empowerment Coalition of NYC (WEC NYC) is a community-based organization dedicated to empowering individuals and families through education, civic engagement, social services, workforce development, food access, domestic violence support, and youth leadership development. Our mission is to promote safety, opportunity, and self-sufficiency while uplifting the next generation of leaders.
About Us
WECNYC is a community-based organization serving diverse and underserved communities across New York City. We provide a holistic range of services including education programs, civic engagement initiatives, social services, workforce development, a food pantry, domestic violence (DV) support, and a Young Women’s Leadership Program.
Our Young Women’s Leadership Program focuses on empowering young women with the skills, confidence, and mentorship needed to become leaders in their communities. Through workshops, mentorship, and hands-on experiences, participants build leadership, career readiness, and civic engagement skills.
Across all of our programs, WEC NYC is committed to equity, inclusion, and community empowerment. We strive to create a safe and supportive environment where individuals and families can access resources, develop skills, and thrive.
