  • Mission

    The East Palo Alto ChurroBots’ mission is to provide hands-on exposure to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and opportunities to learn practical leadership skills to students in East Palo Alto and Belle Haven to instill change in their community.

    About Us

    The East Palo Alto ChurroBots FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Team 8048 is the first and only high school robotics team in the city of East Palo Alto, CA. Open to any youth residing or attending school in East Palo Alto or Belle Haven, the ChurroBots are a community-based team that draws students

    in from over 10 local schools.

    Our team is currently approximately 25% female, 96% students of color, 92% under-represented minorities, 88% (will be) first-generation college students. We have several subteams to divide up the work of designing, building, and competing a robot during our build season, including Mechanical, Software, Business Development, CAD (Computer-Aided Design), and more.
