    The AmeriCorps Seniors Senior Companion Program (SCP), operated by Felton Institute, assists and encourages older adults to engage in personal and community activities, cultivating friendships that can last a lifetime.

    About Us

    AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers are matched within seniors’ homes or senior sites to aide other seniors with social isolation and peer-to-peer companion activities. They serve in adult day health centers and senior centers, engaging at-risk seniors in on-site activities.  Sites must have staff that are able to report back to the program staff on benefits of the seniors assisted.
