About Us

Massachusetts Interfaith Worker Justice (MIWJ) is a coalition of various faith groups based largely in Eastern Massachusetts that work together to educate, organize, and mobilize religious communities around issues that affect workers.

Our membership includes students, clergy, seminarians, lay leaders, and more. Together we work to expand rights and protections for low-wage workers, immigrant workers, protect collective bargaining rights, and provide an ethical, religious voice in dialog around labor issues. Our mission is to bring our convictions are spiritual and religious people out into the public where we can live out those values that we hold dear to us.

MIWJ works on both direct action campaigns, such as labor-union contract disputes or Labor Day marches as well on policy advocacy. We are a multifaceted organization that is empowered by its volunteers and shared ownership.
