Mercy Neighborhood Ministries of Philadelphia, Inc.

The Mission of Mercy Neighborhood Ministries of Philadelphia, Inc. is to respond in a spirit of Mercy to the needs of those who are under-served. We carry out our mission by providing need programs and opportunities for our community (neighborhood) to grow. In our main site we have Preschool for 40 Head Start , 20 Pre-K Counts and 14 children not meeting program requirements, an Adult Education/GED program and an Adult Day care. In our second site we provide Head Start for 60 children. Our programs are all licensed and our ratings are Level 4 for education and we have been ranked as one of the top 50 after school programs in Philadelphia. Our main site is a renovated manufacturing building and is a LEED certified green building. We stay involved in community events and are a host for many local groups and churches who need large meeting or activity space in the evenings or on Saturdays. Our efforts are to transform lives one person at a time.

The areas in which we serve are among the poorest, under-served neighborhoods in North Philadelphia in education and social services.
