Mission
Clinton Housing Development Company (CHDC)’s mission is to build upon the existing sense of
community by preserving, improving, and creating affordable housing in the Clinton neighborhood of
Manhattan. The empowerment of local residents is our primary strategy. CHDC develops projects
jointly with existing low- and moderate-income tenants.
About Us
Clinton Housing Development is a non-profit housing committed to developing New York's Hell's Kitchen community and surrounding neighborhoods through the provision of permanent affordable housing. Our Community Cultivation Department is deeply committed to grass roots organizing and building partnerships around greening, open space and health. The Community Cultivation Department is responsible for the coordination of community engagement and outreach, design and coordination of all community projects throughout Hell's Kitchen, design of all gardens and green spaces and supportive housing tenants events and outings.
