About Us

Since 1939, Abington Art Center (AAC) has been a leading community resource- empowering lives and community through art. Located in historic Alverthorpe Manor in Jenkintown, PA. Our 27-acre Sculpture Park, studio school, makerspace, recreational classes, community outreach programming, exhibitions and performing arts programs respong to the needs of a diverse community.

AAC is the recipient of numerous awards and a frequent grantee of the National Endowment for the Arts, the Pennsylvania Council of the Arts, The William Penn Foundation and the Pew Center for Arts and Heritage. Cited within economic impact studies as a significant variable within the economic and social vitality of the reign, AAC has frequently reinvented itself to reflect the evolving dynamics. It's one attribute that has allowed us to be here today after almost 8 decades.

The Center serves over 25,000 people of all ages that live, work or play in the suburban region north of Center City Philadelphia. Abington has always been home to successful innovators, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, artists and educators
