About Us

The Historic Irvington Community Council is a Non-Profit 501c3 organization of Irvington Residents dedicated to supporting the voice and vision of the Historic Irvington Neighborhood. The funding for this support comes from community events like the Halloween Festival and is directed to Projects like the Blake Johnson Scholarship, which awards over $10,000 a year to students who apply and qualify. Other funding outlets include the Irvington Legacy Project. The Legacy Project chooses a project to support that will benefit the neighborhood as a whole. Projects may last a year or two based on the type of project, and the most recent project is to fund the rebuilding of the Fountain at Irving Circle Park. Other ideas floating to the table include the addition of a water park for children and greater support for the summer neighborhood concert series that has seen much success over the last several years.
