  • Mission

Catholic Charities Archdiocese of San Antonio, Inc. mission is to provide for the needs of the community through selfless services under the sign of love. Through our programs at Catholic Charities, the agency strives to promote and enhance the quality of life for individuals from birth to natural death. This promotes life and dignity of the human person, which is a key element of Catholic Social Teaching.

    About Us

The Adopt-A-Senior program, which began in 2018, addresses social isolation among the senior population in San Antonio/Bexar County. Our dedicated staff and volunteers work hard to provide free direct services to at-risk senior citizens 55 years and older. We work to limit social isolation through quality social interactions with volunteer companions, reduce food insecurity through food distribution, proactively fill needs by assessing home and life situations, provide transportation to ensure seniors attend their medical and other appointments, and case management.
