    FIRE's mission is to assist people with vision loss in their pursuit of independence.

    FIRE provides free services for any person who is legally blind in Franklin, Gadsden, Hamilton, Jefferson, Lafayette, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Suwannee, Taylor and Wakulla Counties.

    Losing some or all of your vision can make the world a scary place. FIRE offers adjustment counseling, information and referrals, and education. Both individual instruction and classes are available to help you adapt to losing your vision. Classes include independent living skills, orientaion and mobility, computer and assistive technology, Braille, support groups and more.
