The EyeCare Foundation

About Us

The EyeCare Foundation was established in 1998 in response to the lack of resources available for individuals affected by eye cancer or macular degeneration. Since that time our mission has been to serve as an accessible educational and support resource for patients, their families and physicians, as well as to conduct multi-centered research of new diagnostic treatments for eye cancer and macular degeneration. Fulfilling our mission includes providing updates on the latest treatment options; establishing support programs to ease emotional stress and real-life adjustment issues related to vision and eye loss; empowering patients to find the resources necessary to improve their lives; funding and directing research to find cures for ocular tumors and macular degeneration; and coordinating national and international prospective-randomized clinical trials to evaluate new methods of diagnosis and treatment.
