Faith in New Jersey

  • About Us

Faith in New Jersey is a network of clergy and faith communities working with our allies to advance a racial, immigration and economic justice agenda across the state. We believe that people of faith and believers in justice are called into the public square to give a moral mandate to build the Beloved Community. We are purposefully building a multicultural, directly-impacted-led movement with faith, race, and power at the center of our work.

Faith in New Jersey is working to equip communities to move significant policy change that supports a shared vision where all people, regardless of their background, have access to:

    • Violence-free neighborhoods
    • Quality, affordable healthcare
    • A pathway to citizenship
    • Good jobs, economic opportunity, and a moral economy
    • Quality education
    • Public safety that centers building communities with more resources free from police brutality
    • Restorative justice and an end to the carceral state
    • Systems free from white supremacy to build a world free from racial disparities

Faith in NJ is an affiliate of the Faith in Action National Network, the largest network of faith-based community organizing federations in the country. We take pride in creating a welcoming workplace for veterans, women, people of diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds, formerly incarcerated people, and people with different abilities.
