About Us

High-quality care & high-quality caring:

Mercy Health is a Catholic health care ministry serving Ohio and Kentucky. At each of our more than 600 points of care, we deliver high-quality, compassionate care with one united purpose: to help our patients be well in mind, body and spirit.

Delivering high quality patient care is central to our Mission and to our ministry. As the largest health system in Ohio and one of the largest nonprofit healthcare ministries in the United States, we never stop trying to do an even better job of caring for those we serve.

Our Promise:

To makes lives better — mind, body and spirit.

To genuinely enjoy being of service.

To make health care easier.

Mercy Serves AmeriCorps Program:

Through a new partnership with AmeriCorps, a national service organization, Mercy Health is building Mercy Serves, a diverse, energetic, volunteer corps working in Emergency Departments across the state of Ohio. As a part of the broader opioid epidemic response, Mercy Serves corps members provide education, treatment placement, and emotional support to Emergency Department patients with substance use disorders. Members work alongside nurses, providers, and addiction counselors to ensure that any patient who is ready for treatment receives the necessary resources and follow up throughout their recovery. Corps members participate in extensive professional development and education weekly and receive an education award at completion of their service year. The program provides corps members unique exposure to health, health care and community collaborations that can create life-changing experiences for them and those they serve.
