Anacostia Community Outreach Center, (ACOC) is a community-based nonprofit organization that originated from an inter-faith collaboration by three geographically diverse churches in 1983. For over twenty five years, ACOC has been a social service agency dedicated to providing programs and services that impact poverty, violence, and economic, social and educational needs of families, youth, and seniors residing in the Anacostia Community. In recent years, ACOC has focused increasingly on building organizational capacity by focusing on infrastructure development, expanding youth services, and re-evaluating its programs and strategies relative to social services.
