BLESSED ARE THE FLEXIBLE CORPORATION

We are a new organization based in El Salvador. We are building our first eco-home in El Salvador to help us discover the exact budget we will need to build each house and its timeframe. This first home will be a volunteer house once fully built. We started construction in September 2023 and are expecting this project to cost approximately $8500.

There are three main ways we would like to focus on improving the lives of those living in severe poverty in El Salvador.

Eco Homes

2 million people in El Salvador live in shacks with dirt floors. Eco homes are built with the environment in mind and use mostly materials we find from polluted beaches and rivers. These homes are actually safer from disasters like earthquakes and flooding than traditional homes and more temperate inside.

Rainwater Collection & Filtration

Running water is a luxury, not a norm here. Many people have to make multiple trips to go gather water from the river and pilas here and then take it home to boil it for drinking. Rainwater collection can make life so much easier.

Quality of Life

From home improvements like fixing leaky roofs to creating refrigerators and ovens that don't require electricity, we are using green building methods to help the poor have a better quality of life. Some of these projects are done as workshops so the community can learn how to do this together.
