Compathos Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing environmental stewardship and social well-being through the power of storytelling, education, and community engagement.

Through our Films for the Planet platform, we connect audiences worldwide with impactful documentaries, educational programming, and conversations that encourage informed action toward a more sustainable future.

Since 2010, Compathos has been sharing stories that affect positive world change through media impact. We have fulfilled our mission to educate and inspire by producing award-winning films, interactive media, student media expeditions, and screenings and events. Our original publishing platform provided a media-rich story tapestry with over 1,500 educational resources and awareness raising videos. Our current platform, Films for the Planet, provides the best in environmental and social action films on-demand.

Compathos supports the work of independent artists through fiscal sponsorship and collaborates with a network of non-profits, artists, students and indie-filmmakers. Our community of award-winning creative professionals recognize the power of arts, media and entertainment as a dynamic force that creates awareness and inspires collective action.

By providing strategic insight, Compathos helps content producers and mission-driven organizations maximize their impact and navigate the shifts in technology and storytelling. Our projects and organizational activities depend primarily on Board, intern, and volunteer services. We rely on volunteers and donations to help scale our efforts.
