Mosaic Silicon Valley

Mosaic Silicon Valley is a grassroots initiative launched by Sangam Arts to help strengthen our rapidly diversifying communities (defined racially, occupationally, economically,...) through collaborative, multicultural arts. Using a wide range of cultural and artistic expressions from Folklorico and Tap to Kathak and Hula, our presentations are carefully curated to that help us see our common humanity while allowing us to celebrate the traits that make us unique. A typical "Mosaic" presentation will be held at a public space such as a library, museum, or a community theater and would involve at least 2 cultures. An example would be "Love, Life, Loss" which was a musical journey harnessing various Western and Asian instruments into the struggles of the early immigrants and residents of Silicon Valley, especially the Chicanos, African-Americans, and Vietnamese.
