About Us

Tutor Corps Foundation was established in 2004 and its mission is to advance academic achievement, self-confidence and awareness in Bay Area youth by providing educational services, generating opportunities and building a community support network. Tutor Corps Foundation's founders' vision is to inspire a love of learning in students of all backgrounds and abilities and empowering life-long learners who engage and contribute to their community in meaningful ways. Tutor Corps Foundation serves under-resourced K-12 students living in the San Francisco Bay Area by matching dedicated tutors with students in under-served communities. Tutor Corps Foundation also awards scholarships semi-annually to support innovative student projects that address community-based issues such as poverty, education, homelessness, health and the environment. Students must live in the San Francisco Bay Area, attend school full-time, be between grades 7-11, maintain a 3.0 grade point average and have faculty sponsorship.
