Voices in Power New York, Inc.

VIPny is a group of adults concerned with the leadership of today’s youth. Together we will work towards creating and implementing programs that will promote the well-being of the community’s youth.

VIPny aims to serve as a mentoring program for the youth of South Brooklyn who due to their economic and/or cultural background lack the means by which to obtain information and experience in order to reach their career and life goals.

We have three programs, a performing arts program, Flava, an athletic program, 72 Elite and a mentoring program, Inspira. Flava will launch on November 10, 2007. 72 Elite and Inspira will launch in early 2008.

The overall goal of the organization is to teach its youth members discipline, team work, how to be competitive and to help them gain confidence.
