  • About Us

The goal of the DC and Baltimore Tutoring & Mentoring Initiatives is to get a tutor or mentor for the 2 out of 3 DC students reading below grade level or with other academic or non-academic needs. We are working with 40 tutoring and mentoring organizations and schools in DC to create a public campaign -- call it a movement -- to reach this big but achievable goal. Our intent is both to transform educational outcomes and to create a civic culture in which people people take it for granted that they can get beyond their political divisions and play an active and fulfilling role in making a better community together.

You can find more information on our work at http://www.dcTutorMentor.org.
