EQUIProject

About Us

The EQUIProject is currently seeking volunteers across North America who are interested in aiding in disaster relief. We need people like you to ensure we are ready and able to deploy when the next natural disaster hits.

What does the EQUIProject do?

Our goal is to provide immediate relief to areas typically unreachable immediately following disaster, and ongoing recovery and sustainable economic rebuilding opportunities for affected areas. Deployment of the disaster relief kitchens on the ground in the most devastated areas will provide immediate clean water, refrigeration, off-grid-energy, hot food, medicine and even hot showers to both responders and residents. Normally one or more trailers deploy fully stocked with food and then we prep/cook on-site. We have one food protection manager with each deployment as well who will go in and address all allergies to ensure safe food consumption. We would ideally like for our volunteers to have their food handlers card, however that is not a requirement as it can be obtained at anytime.

What do we provide our volunteers?

We provide housing and food while on excursions, as well as compensate for travel to and from the home base location.

What do we need from you?

Please email caity@equiproject.org your first and last name, zip code, and email address to sign up as an EQUIProject Volunteer. If you have a food handlers card please include your license number. If you have preferred roles or skills you feel necessary to include please add those as well.

Please be sure your zip code is correct, if there is a natural disaster we will engage all volunteers within 500 miles.
