    The Arakan Human Rights and Development Organisation (AHRDO) is an independent nonprofit organization that was founded on October 9, 2011. Its principle activities are to both monitor and document human rights, environmental and cultural abuses that occur in the State of Arakan, to promote the development of the Arakanese people through education, and to disseminate information regarding the various impacts of large-scale development projects in the State of Arakan.
